Andrew Renaut is a specialist colorectal surgeon based in Brisbane where he has gained extensive experience in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. His undergraduate and postgraduate trainings were undertaken predominantly in London, including a dedicated period of research resulting in a masters of surgery and a thesis entitled ‘immune mechanisms in cancer’. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Bond University Medical School on the Gold Coast and is also Director of the Queensland Institute of Medical Education, a charity that he founded to promote teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical personnel. He established Videosurgey in 2006 and is currently Director. He is also a bon viveur and all-round good guy.
